Blown Tire Injures Six

Lowell, Lake County-A family on their way home from Indiana Beach blew a tire on their pickup causing them to go off the road and roll over numerous times.

Preliminary investigation by Master Trooper Aaron Trammel revealed, at approximately 12:20 p.m., this Sunday, July 05, 2015, afternoon, a 2002 GMC pickup pulling an eight foot enclosed trailer was northbound on I-65 in the right lane at the 243 mile marker (this is three miles north of the Lowell exit) when it blew  a tire on the pickup.

This caused the pickup to go off the road and begin to roll.  The trailer became unhitched from the pickup and went down the grassy embankment where it overturned and came to rest in the trees.  The pickup also rolled as it went down the grassy embankment and came to rest on the passenger side up against the trees.
