Impaired Driver Disregards Stop Sign and Injures Family of Four
Knox County – Last night at approximately 11:00, Indiana State Police responded to a crash at Old Hwy 41 and U.S. 41 near Oaktown that injured five people.
According to Master Trooper Jim Dotson, James Reagan Haley, 24, of Wheatland, was driving his 2010 Chevrolet HHR sport utility vehicle east on Old Hwy 41 north of Oaktown when he disregarded the stop sign at U.S. 41 and collided into a 2007 Jeep Commander that was traveling south on U.S. 41. The vehicle was driven by Robert J. Emerson-Fry, 36, of Rio, WI. Emerson-Fry, his 35-year-old wife, and eight and four-year-old children were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes where they were treated and later released. “Seat belt usage and child safety seats helped prevent serious injuries,” said Dotson. The Emerson-Fry family was traveling to Owensboro, KY, to visit a terminally ill family member.
Haley was also taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was admitted for head and internal injuries. Further investigation revealed Haley was intoxicated and had a blood alcohol content of .26%.

Haley will be required to appear in court at a later date.
