KCMO storm damage resources for residents, drop -off sites now open. Curbside pick-up for designated areas to begin July 6.

Storm damage resources

The City has assembled the following resources to aid residents who have been impacted by debris, and electrical outages as a result of last week’s storm.

Storm Debris Drop-Off
Kansas City’s leaf and brush drop-off sites will be open through July 12, free of charge to KCMO residents (closed on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5). Hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Targeted Curbside Pickup
City crews will conduct curbside brush collection in areas that have been most impacted by the recent storm. This collection area covers 80 percent of reports of damaged trees called-in to the 311 Action Center. The collection is for downed branches only, please do not set out bags of leaves or other brush. All collections should be placed at the curbside by July 6, 2015.

Curbside collection will begin on July 6, 2015 for the following targeted areas:

  • North: N.E. Englewood Rd. to the Missouri River; 169 Hwy. to N. Brighton Ave.
  • South: Missouri River to 63rd St.; State Line Rd. to Blue Ridge Cut-Off.
