Help detectives identify couple wanted in theft of tactical fishing vest; cash reward available
McDowell County sheriff’s deputies are looking for this couple, believed to have stolen a tactical fishing vest from property on Polly Spout Road in Nebo.
Anyone with pertinent information could receive a cash reward.
On Saturday, June 13, Jerry Downer, of Union Mills, reported that he left the vest, which contained four lead weights, on land near Second Broad River. The area, leased by the Vein Mountain Recreational Miners Club, sits about 75 yards off Polly Spout Road.
The man and woman were caught on trail camera taking the vest, valued at $165, from the site. The incident occurred sometime between 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10 and 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 12.
Anyone with information about the suspects’ identities is asked to call Detective Billie Brown of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office at 652-2237 or McDowell County Crimestoppers at 65-CRIME (652-7463). With Crimestoppers, your identity remains anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward.
