The following information provides details and road closures for the July 4th holiday and 5K event in the City of Redondo Beach. The City radio channel, AM 1630, will provide additional information regarding the fireworks show, traffic delays, fireworks prohibitions in the City, and the location of parking facilities.

5K

The 4th of July Village Runner 5K will take place this Saturday, July 4, 2015. The following streets will be closed between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM:

• 1800 block of South Elena Avenue
• 300, 1700 and 1800 blocks of South Catalina Avenue
• 100 block Avenue I
• 100 thru the 1600 blocks of Esplanade

Fireworks

Fireworks are expected to start at approximately 9:00 P.M.  Between 9:00 P.M. and approximately 11:30 P.M. the following roadways in South Redondo Beach will be closed or significantly impacted due to the high volume of vehicle traffic expected in the area for the City of Redondo Beach Fireworks celebration:

• Portofino Way
• Harbor Drive
• Herondo Street
• 200-300 blocks of South Pacific Avenue
• 100-1200 blocks of North Catalina Avenue
• 100-1600 blocks of South Catalina Avenue
• 100-1300 blocks of Beryl Street
• 100-1000 Torrance Blvd (no right or left turns off of Torrance Blvd are allowed)
• Pacific Coast Highway from 190th Street to Knob Hill Avenue
• Esplanade from Catalina Av to Knob Hill  

Non-essential vehicle trips are not recommended as long delays are expected while driving in these areas during the times indicated.
