The Marietta Police Department would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Independence Day holiday. This year the City of Marietta is expecting over 30,000 guests to be present in and around the Historic Marietta Square for the Fourth in the Park celebration. The Marietta Police Department will be increasing police presence to ensure the safety of all spectators and guests.
This year the Marietta Police Department will be adding additional police foot patrols around the parade route and near all events on the Square. Multiple motorized and electric vehicles will be located throughout the event to increase police mobility. The Sky Watch will be utilized as an asset to locate any suspicious persons or objects.
The Marietta Police Department wants to encourage all citizens and guest to have a fun filled holiday and remember: If you SEE something SAY something!
