Explosion seriously injures man in Moses Lake.

MOSES LAKE, Wash. (30JUNE2015) – An investigation continues in a home at the 9300 block of Beacon Road, Moses Lake, where an explosion seriously injured a man earlier today. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, & Explosives (ATF), Seattle Division and Spokane Field Office, are expected to remain on scene for another couple hours.

At this time, the explosion appears to be an accident but is not fully known yet what caused the explosion.

The injured man has been identified as Justin McKinney, age 31, of Moses Lake. He was transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake and then airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. His condition is not known at this time.

Grant County Sheriff’s Office believes that there is no threat to the community, however, Beacon Road will remain closed to through traffic until the investigation is complete.
