Detective charges two local men in connection with string of car break-ins
Lt. Andy Manis of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 25-year-old Cameron Sean Bradshaw, of Davis Drive in Marion, and 25-year-old Bryan Alan Kelly, of Cooper Road in Marion, each with five counts of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, three counts of misdemeanor larceny and one count of felony first-degree burglary.
They are accused in a string of automobile break-ins on the night of Monday, May 25 and early morning hours of Tuesday, May 26 in the Veterans Drive-Nix Creek Road area.
-- Matthew Cranford, of Davis Drive, reported that someone broke into two vehicles parked at his residence and stole computer equipment, a purse and its contents, a wallet and its contents, office equipment and clothes with a total value of $1,572.89.
-- Alan Carver, of Nix Creek Road, reported that someone broke into a car at his house and took $450 worth of tools and also broke into his basement but didn’t remove anything.
--Samuel Cable, of Davis Drive, reported that someone entered a vehicle parked at his home and removed a $300 navigation system.
--Duncan Revis, of Davis Drive, reported that someone broke into and rummaged through her automobile but didn’t take anything.
-- Rickey Wayne Hutchins, of Veterans Drive in Marion, reported that someone broke into vehicles parked at his house but didn’t remove anything.
Manis said deputies responded to a domestic disturbance shortly after the break-ins and found property belonging to one of the victims.
A portion of the stolen items has been recovered.
