Press Release: Woman Arrested for Heroin Possession

ACCUSED: Heather A. Throckmorton age 28 Long Branch, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On 6/24/15 at approximately 9:08 pm, Detectives Michael Legg and Matthew Jackiewicz were on patrol on State Highway 35 when the observed a vehicle being operated in an unsafe manner. While following the vehicle the front seat passenger, later identified as Heather A. Throckmorton, was observed throwing a lit cigarette out of the passenger window. The officers stopped the vehicle and a subsequent investigation revealed that Ms. Throckmorton was in possession of 23 bags of heroin.
Ms. Throckmorton was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and throwing debris from a motor vehicle. Ms. Throckmorton was released on a complaint summons and will appear at a future court hearing.
