Structure Fire 43000 block of Magnolia Rd.

June 29, 2015

Today at approximately, 12:00pm City of Maricopa Fire units were dispatched for a report of a patio fire in the 43000 block of Magnolia Rd. Crews arrived on scene and were able to rapidly put the fire out. Firefighters entered the house to ensure that all occupants were able to exit the structure safely. Residents and neighbors were found in the backyard attempting to fight the fire with garden hoses, fortunately no injuries were reported as a result of this action.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, but fire investigators are on scene investigating.

As a reminder to residents, in the event of a fire please remember early activation of 911, utilize your safety escape plan, do not reenter the premises and let the firefighting professionals handle the situation.

The Maricopa Fire Department would also like to remind all residents that under extreme temperature condition like today its essential to remember the basics of summer survival: drink adequate quantity of water, limit exposure during peak hours of the day, and to watch for heat related illnesses.
