Owen County – While responding to a domestic call for assistance last Thursday afternoon, a Spencer Police Officer encountered a male and female fighting inside a vehicle near the intersection of Main and Morgan Streets. As the officer approached the vehicle and asked the driver to exit, the vehicle was placed into gear and the driver attempted to flee.
The officer attempted to shut the vehicle off by removing the keys; however the officer’s arm became entangled in the door and steering wheel. The driver refused to stop and drug the officer for approximately 100 feet before he could break free.
The officer was not injured.
