ISP Responds to Citizens Complaints and Arrest Three

Vigo County—In recent days, the Indiana State Police Putnamville Post has received numerous tips and complaints from citizens about possible drug related activity on North Houghton Place in New Goshen. Armed with those tips and complaints, ISP Meth Suppression Troopers Shilo Raulston, B.J. Patterson, and Adam Edwards went to 9363 Houghton Place and 9397 Houghton Place at 12:30 this afternoon to investigate. During those visits, troopers were able to develop probable cause and a search of the residences yielded illegal drugs and items commonly used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

First, at 9363 North Houghton Place, troopers located approximately one gram of methamphetamine. The resident, Roger D. Childress, age 61, was incarcerated in the Vigo County Jail on one count of possession of methamphetamine. A visitor, Ricky Lee Oldham, age 44, was incarcerated on a charge of visiting a common nuisance.

Secondly, at 9397 North Houghton Place, troopers located trace amounts of methamphetamine and several items commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. The resident, Jerry E. Morris, age 62, was incarcerated in the Vigo County Jail on one count of manufacturing methamphetamine; one count of possession of methamphetamine; one count of maintaining a common nuisance; and illegal dumping of controlled waste.
