Change in schedule – boating safety classes
The following boating safety classes offered by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office have been cancelled:
• July 18 at Moses Lake
• August 22 at Ephrata
The following classes have been added:
• July 6 and 7, 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm, at the Moses Lake Substation, 1278 Lowry St. You must attend both nights to complete the course.
• August 3 and 4 , 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm, Grant County Public Works, 124 Enterprise St SE. You must attend both nights to complete the course.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit offers Boating Education Courses. The course is free and no registration is required. All materials and testing supplies are provided.
This boater education card is required to operate motor vessels and personal watercraft with 15 horsepower or more. The minimum age to obtain the Boater Education Card is 12 years old.
Those born before January 1, 1955 are exempt from the Boater Education Card requirement.
