On June 27th, 2015 at approximately 9:49 PM, officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of S Western on a motor vehicle versus pedestrian. Kristopher Clay Miller, WM, 18 was driving southbound in the 4600 block of S. Western St when he struck Samuel Quintana, WM, 59 who was crossing Westbound on S. Western St in a mobile chair approximately 112 feet north of the designated cross walk. Mr. Quintana was transported to NWTH where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. Mr. Quintana's family has been notified. The Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department is currently investigating this collision.
