6/26/15, press release: Armed Robbery

On June 23, 2015 at 1740 hours, the Rotary Mart located at 103 Shelburne Road was robbed by an armed suspect. The suspect wore sunglasses and an article of clothing that partially covered his face. Upon entering the store the suspect pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded money from the register.

On June 24, 2015, the Burlington Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle which resulted in the arrest of three subjects on unaffiliated charges. Terra Fleming (10-6-86) was arrested on a charge of burglary, Kevin Laforce (7-27-90) was arrested for Criminal DLS, and Joshua Wells (4-27-89) was arrested in connection with an outstanding arrest warrant. Subsequent investigation has found that Laforce and Wells were active participants in the armed robbery on 6-25-15, no bail was set, but the court did impose conditions of release. Wells is currently incarcerated and is scheduled to appear in court in connection with this case on Tuesday, Jun 30, 2015.
