ROAD CLOSURE ALERT - FLOODING RELATED-

• State Route IL 97/78 NORTH of Illinois Highway 136 will be closed shortly. IDOT Crews are enroute and working on this. 
• PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE ILLINOIS 136 BRIDGE OVER THE ILLINOIS RIVER INTO HAVANA-- That bridge is still open. We are several feet away from that bridge closure. 
• Water IS NOT over the road way. However, there's a small bridge along this route that is being affected by water flow and water levels. This may affect the bridge. So even thou there is not water on the roadway - it's still not safe to travel down-.
• Again - the IL Highway 136 Bridge across the Illinois River at Havana is NOT affected and not being closed as of now. Current forecasts appear that this is not likely to be closed.

This is an ongoing situation. The new model runs for the IL River at Havana should be out around lunch. Once those an update will be posted. Please do not call the Sheriff's Office or Highway Dept for information on road closures. Notice' will be posted on the Social Media Site:
