HCSO: Standoff with Deputies Ends Peacefully

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A standoff with Harris County Sheriff’s deputies has ended peacefully.

At approximately 9:30 AM a 9-1-1 call was received from a male complainant stating that he was being held against his will in a business located at 811 Aldine Mail Route in Harris County, Texas.

Responding deputies attempted to make contact with the male subject who had barricaded himself inside of the business.
Deputies and clinicians assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Crisis Intervention Response Team were dispatched to the scene to obtain the peaceful surrender of the subject. Upon arrival, the male subject fired multiple rounds from a pistol in his possession.

The Sheriff’s Office High Risk Operations Unit and Hostage Negotiation Team were later deployed to the location to take the subject into custody. Specially trained deputies deployed CS Gas into the business compelling the subject to surrender.

No patrons or employees of the business were present at the time of the incident. The subject was taken into custody without injury. No charges have been filed at the time of this release.
