Anderson Man Arrested After Short Pursuit
Anderson – An Anderson man was taken into custody shortly after midnight after leading a trooper on a vehicle and foot pursuit. Trooper Jason Girt was driving by the Speedway Station at 38th and Scatterfield Rd. shortly after midnight, when he heard yelling and could see a confrontation between two men and two women on the lot of the station.

The car ran the red light at 38th and Scatterfield Rd. at a high rate of speed. Girt gave chase and when he caught up with car, it refused to stop. They led Girt into the Hoosier Woods Apartment Complex off of 38th where the driver and passenger bailed out and ran on foot.

Davis, age 27, and charged him with Operating While Intoxicated with a Previous Conviction, Level 6 Felony; Resisting Law Enforcement, Public Intoxication and Operating While Never Obtaining a License, second offense, all three misdemeanors.
