June 11-15, 2015


6/11/15

0741 Hours: Officer Todd investigated a commercial burglary that occurred on Jarvis Avenue. The suspect is currently outstanding and the theft occurred overnight.

0819 Hours: Officer Stone responded to the area of Port Sailwood Drive and Port Anchorwood Place to investigate an auto burglary.

2331 Hours: Officer Horst arrested an 18 year old male from Newark for public intoxication at a business located in the Newark Square Shopping Center.


6/12/15

0850 Hours: Officer Todd investigated a non-injury, solo vehicle collision near the intersection of Edgewater Drive and Farnham Drive. A city tree sustained minor damage.

1616 Hours: Officer Todd investigated a report of a robbery that occurred at the Safeway Shopping Center. A female victim had her purse forcefully taken from her in the parking lot. The suspects fled in a four door, gold, late 1990’s Buick.

1953 Hours: Officer Khairy responded to a restraining order violation that occurred at a residence on Juniper Ave. Officer Khairy arrested a 29-year-old male from Union City for violating the order.

2154 Hours: Officer Norvell investigated a domestic violence incident that occurred on Mulberry St. A 32-year-old female from Newark was arrested for domestic battery.

2237 Hours: Officer Losier arrested a 20-year-old male from Newark near the Lakeshore Park for a misdemeanor warrant.


6/13/15

0342 Hours: Officer Khairy investigated a domestic violence incident that occurred at the Joaquin Murieta Condos. Officer Khairy arrested a 62-year-old male from Newark for domestic battery and a domestic violence restraining order violation.


6/14/15

1351 Hours: Officer Stone investigated a theft from a boat parked on Rockrose Ct.


6/15/15

0929 Hours: Officer Lopez investigated a theft of a black 1999 Honda Civic from Elm Street. The theft occurred overnight.

1133 Hours: Officer Todd investigated an attempted robbery that occurred at a business on Jarvis Ave. The suspect indicated that he had a gun under his clothing but the victim did not actually see one. The suspect is currently outstanding and the case remains under investigation.
