Sun Prairie Police Department Media Release - Fatal Crash

Subject: Fatal Crash – N. Grand Ave.
On Sunday, June 14th, 2015 at 3:27pm, the Sun Prairie Police Department was dispatched to a car vs motorcycle crash at the intersection of N. Grand Ave. and Ironwood Dr. It was determined that a 4 door passenger vehicle was traveling southbound on N. Grand Ave. and the motorcycle was travelling northbound on N. Grand Ave. Both vehicles were solely occupied when the crash occurred.
The operator of the motorcycle, a 28 year old male, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The operator of the 4 door passenger vehicle was an 81 year old female.
This incident is still under investigation and more details will be released when available. Toxicology tests still need to be processed. This investigation, like all traffic-related deaths in Dane County, will be reviewed by the District Attorney’s office.
This investigation was assisted by personnel from Wisconsin State Patrol, Dane County Sheriff’s Office, Sun Prairie Fire Department and Sun Prairie EMS.
