Missing Person Update:
The man reported missing on Friday, June 12, 2015 has been located. Mr. Buddy Merritt Saunders was reported missing on Thursday evening when he failed to return home. On Friday morning after conducting city wide area checks of locations he is known to frequent, a press release was released, and a CHP "Silver Alert" initiated.
Early this morning, Mr. Saunders was located by the Orange County Sheriffs Department in the city of San Clemente. He was disoriented but safe and unharmed. Mr. Saunders was taken to a local hospital there as a precaution. No foul play is suspected.
The West Covina Police Department wishes to thank everyone who shared the information of Mr. Saunders missing status. We also wish to thank the OCSD for locating him and subsequent followup, and the California Highway Patrol for their "Silver Alert" posting.

Last seen: June 11, 2015 at 2130 hours in the area of Sunset/Merced, West Covina
Circs: Missing was driving home from the Queen of the Valley Hospital, West Covina and never arrived. Missing has been experiencing memory loss issues as of late. Missing has not been seen or heard from since.
