On Wednesday, June 10, 2015 officers from the Forest City Police Department responded to the area of Smith Grove Road to investigate several breaking and entering reports to outbuildings. After completing an extensive investigation the location of the suspect was determined and a search warrant was executed at 2197 Ferry Road in Mooresboro. Officers were able to locate the suspect Dustin Dwayne Adams along with a large amount of the stolen items from the outbuildings. Officers arrested Dustin Dwayne Adams and charged him with 6 counts of breaking and entering, five counts of larceny after breaking and entering and two counts of injury to personal property. He was placed under a $60,000 secured bond.
