6/5/15

0642 Hours: Officers Simon and Stone responded to Peppertree Ct. and investigated vandalism to two vehicles.

0838 hours: Officer Bloom investigated an auto burglary that occurred in the Safeway parking lot. The theft occurred between 0600 and 0630 hours. Entry was via a window smash.

0950 Hours: During a pedestrian stop in the Safeway parking lot, Officer Bloom arrested a 52-year-old male from Newark for misappropriation of lost property.

1209 Hours: Officer Stone responded to Burdick St to investigate an attempted auto burglary.

1332 Hours: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Bayonne Dr. Officer Stone arrested a 43-year-old male from Newark for domestic battery.

1318 Hours: Officer Horst responded Bonnie St to investigate vandalism to a vehicle.

1624 Hours: During a pedestrian stop on Thornton Ave, Officer Musantry arrested a 41-year-old male from Newark for possession of a controlled substance and a warrant.

1647 Hours: During a pedestrian stop on Dairy Ave, Officer Simon arrested 34-year-old male from Newark for a warrant.


6/6/15

0805 Hours: Officer Neithercutt investigated a burglary at Be Beauty Nail Supply located at 36601 Newark Bl. Front window of the business was shattered.

2010 Hours: After responding to a report of a man-down in the bushes on Cherry St, Officer Losier arrested a 46-year-old male from Fremont for public intoxication.


6/7/15

0216 Hours: During a security check of the parking lot at Gubera’s Bar, Sgt. Kovach arrested a 23-year-old male from Fremont for possession of a controlled substance and a warrant.

0235 Hours: Officer Losier investigated a solo-vehicle traffic collision (vehicle vs. tree) that occurred on Cedar Blvd. A 22-year-old male from Newark was arrested for DUI.

1631 Hours: Officer Lopez accepted a citizen’s arrest from Macy’s for shoplifting. A 34-year-old female from Oakland was arrested for shoplifting and a warrant.

2038 Hours: During a traffic stop on Central Ave, Sgt. Kovach arrested a 34-year-old male from Newark for a Felony warrant.

2213 Hours: A resident on Civic Terrace Ave called to report an intoxicated subject had just knocked on his front door looking for his friend. When the resident told the subject that his friend didn’t live there, the subject vomited on his driveway and then drove away. Officer Homayoun located the suspect vehicle travelling southbound 880 approaching Mowry Ave; noted that the driver was obviously intoxicated and had almost collided with two separate vehicles on the freeway. The driver did not yield and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. CHP took over the pursuit and subsequently arrested a 31-year-old male from Modesto for DUI.


6/8/15

0754 Hours: Officer Allum investigated a single vehicle minor injury collision where a juvenile driver collided with a tree near the Newark Community Center. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

0821 Hours: Officer Fredstrom investigated an auto burglary and attempted residential burglary on Forbes Dr.

0925 Hours: Officer Nobbe investigated a burglary at OK Noodle located on Central Ave.

1007 Hours: Officer Lopez investigated a burglary at Asia Express Restaurant located on Thornton Ave.

1209 Hours: Officer Jackman accepted the citizen’s arrest of a shoplifter from Macy’s. A 34-year-old female from Fremont was arrested for shoplifting.

1829 Hours: Officers responded to Taqueria Los Gallos on a report of a fight in the parking lot. 51-year-old female from Newark was arrested for Felony domestic battery and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

2206 Hours: Officer Germano investigated graffiti to a fence on Baine Ave.


6/9/15

0936 Hours: During a traffic stop at Mowry Ave/Cherry St, Officer Rodgers arrested a 22-year-old male from Union City for possession of a stolen vehicle and a warrant for the same.

1717 Hours: Officer Germano investigated a vehicle burglary on Balentine Dr.

2316 Hours: During a traffic stop, Officer Geser arrested a 22-year-old male for driving without a driver’s license.


6/10/15

1200 Hours: Officers responded to a report of a robbery at Macy’s, located at the Newpark Mall. Officer Musantry conducted the investigation and learned from Macy’s security that while attempting to recover stolen property, two loss prevention agents were battered. NPD units responded to the area; through their investigation a 21-year-old male from Castro Valley was arrested for the robbery and a 22-year-old male from Newark was arrested for possession of stolen property.

1238 Hours: Officers responded to the rear of Super Wash Dry, located at 35118 Newark Bl, on a report of a disturbance. Officer Taylor arrested a 23-year-old male from Newark for a warrant.

2237 Hours: Officers responded to Lido Court on a report of a domestic battery. A 32-year-old female from Newark was arrested for Felony domestic battery and a 34-year-old male from Newark was arrested for a warrant.


6/11/15

0300 Hour: Officers responded to Joaquin Murieta on a report of a disturbance. A 48-year-old male from Fremont was arrested for his parole warrant.
