Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives held a press conference on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, releasing a composite sketch of the suspect sought in the June 2, 2015 murder of restaurant owner Pravin Patel in San Dimas.

At approximately 3:20 p.m., the suspect entered the business located in the 1000 block of West Arrow Highway, San Dimas, produced a handgun and demanded money. Mr. Patel complied and gave the suspect money from the cash register. When the suspect ran outside, Mr. Patel followed him and a physical altercation occurred in the parking lot, at which time the suspect shot Mr. Patel. The suspect fled on foot.

Mr. Patel was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

The suspect is described as a Male Hispanic or Caucasian, mid 20's, 6'0, 180, described as tall and skinny. He was wearing a baseball hat, black t-shirt and plaid shorts.

The Los Angeles Board of Supervisors/Michael D. Antonovich's Office has approved a $20,000.00 reward in exchange for any information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of the suspect responsible for the murder of Victim Patel.
