RE: Alcohol Countermeasures Team
As part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of the citizens of Jackson, the Jackson Police Department will be performing Sobriety Checkpoints and increased traffic enforcement throughout the city this Saturday and Sunday.
There will be a Sobriety Checkpoint on Saturday, 13 June 2015, from 2345 until 0130 in the 300 block of Carriage House Drive, and one Sunday, 14 June 2015 from 0200 until 0345 on the Keith Short By-Pass north of Ashport Road.
During these Sobriety Checkpoints and increased traffic enforcement, officers will concentrate their efforts on removing impaired drivers from the roadways. However, as non-compliance with the safety belt and child restraint laws place people in danger these laws will be vigorously enforced as well.
This project funded solely by the Tennessee Governor's Highway Safety Office
