WHAT: Arrest for Possession of Child Pornography

San Luis Obispo Police Detectives recently received information that a subject residing at Kasadate’s residence was in possession of child pornography. This information was provided by a local Police Detective who is trained and affiliated with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC).

On June 9, 2015 San Luis Obispo Police Detectives served a search warrant at the residence in the 1500 block of El Tigre in the City of San Luis Obispo. The warrant authorized the search for evidence of child pornography. During the search Detectives discovered several images and videos of children under the age of 18 engaged in various stages of sexual conduct. These were found on the computer and other electronic devices belonging to 19 year old Elliott Kasadate. Many of the images found revealed children who appeared as young as eight to ten years old.

Kasadate was home at the time of the search warrant and was placed under arrest for Possession of Child Pornography. No one else living at the residence was believed to be involved with the possession or sharing of these images and videos with Kasadate. He was later booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail with bail set at $35,000.
