Monroe CountyOn Wednesday evening, June 3rd from 4 to10 pm, Indiana State Police Troopers from the Bloomington Post, participated in the “Tip-A-Cop” fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics of Indiana. The event was held at the Texas Roadhouse in Bloomington.

During the evening, Texas Roadhouse staff, Special Olympic athletes, and State Troopers partnered to create an atmosphere of charity and fun. Officers and athletes provided fundraiser information to patrons of the restaurant and those patrons returned their generosity in the form of     $1,971.00 in “Tips” for Special Olympics of Indiana.

The Indiana State Police extend their gratitude to those who generously donated money and to the Texas Roadhouse of Bloomington for partnering in this important project.

In all, law enforcement from around the state helped raise over $15,000 in “tips” for Special Olympics Indiana last week alone.
