Sonoma County Sheriff Coroner confirms identity of man killed in crash on Hwy 1, Jenner at High Point
Sonoma County Sheriff Coroner’s Office is releasing the name of the person who was found down a cliff known as High Point on Coast Highway 1 (mile marker 29.15) near Jenner in the unincorporated area of Sonoma County, on the afternoon of June 5, 2015.
The deceased is identified as Richard Kolodin, a 52 year old man from Petaluma. His family has been informed of his death.
Kolodin had been reported missing earlier in the day and was discovered deceased about 100’ from his vehicle which was found down the steep cliff.
The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office has performed an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of Kolodin’s death. Preliminary results of the autopsy will not be released until the report is finalized.
The California Highway Patrol is the lead agency in this case. They are conducting the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the vehicle collision and related death.
