Warrant Arrest
Location: 900 Block of Clyde Avenue
An officer observed a male subject in the middle of the street on the 900 block of Clyde Avenue. The subject was staggering and causing a hazard to traffic. The officer detained the subject to investigate the situation. A Records check revealed the subject had two warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Monday, June 1, 2015
Felony Battery
Location: 3100 Block of Kenneth Street
Dispatchers received a call from a reporting party regarding a male subject assaulting a male victim over a traffic related issue. A female subject yelled at the subject that she had been the one driving. The subject stopped assaulting the male victim and started to walk toward the female before a witness grabbed the subject to prevent him from pursuing the female. The victim sustained great bodily injury and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
A Records check on the subject revealed that he had no prior criminal history. He was arrested for felony battery and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.

Residential Burglary
Location: 3500 Block of Forest Avenue
A residence on the 3500 block of Forest Avenue was burglarized. The suspect(s) moved patio furniture under a bathroom window and pried the window screen off. Upon entry to the home, the suspect(s) ransacked the residence and stole electronics. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Petty Theft
Location: 2900 Block of Copper Road
An officer was dispatched to the 2900 block of Copper Road regarding a petty theft that had occurred. The reporting party followed the male subject and provided Dispatchers with the subject’s description and whereabouts. The officer located the subject and detained him for questioning. As it turns out, the subject discarded the charging cord used for hybrid vehicles, valued at $800, as he was being followed. The charging cord was not recovered. The subject was cited and released for petty theft.

NOTE: An Agent from the California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) joined SCPD to conduct a Shoulder Tap Operation in an effort to reduce underage consumption of, and access to, alcohol. This operation targeted adults who purchase alcohol for people under 21 years of age. The penalty for furnishing alcohol to a minor is a
minimum $1,000 fine and 24 hours of community service. The operation yielded ten (10) citations and two (2) arrests. Funding for this program was provided by a grant from ABC’s Grant Assistance Program.

Commercial Burglary
Location: 100 Block of Washington Street
At approximately 0100 hours, two unknown female suspects were seen in front of a community mailbox on the 100 block of Washington Street. The suspects pried open access to the mailboxes however the
amount of mail and/or packages taken is undetermined. The suspects fled in a black vehicle with a sunroof.

Drug Arrests
Location: McCormick Drive and El Camino Real
An officer initiated a traffic stop at McCormick Drive and El Camino Real. A Records check revealed the driver had a misdemeanor warrant, passenger #1 had a felony warrant and passenger #2 had two misdemeanor warrants and was on searchable probation. An inventory search of the vehicle yielded a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and prescription pills not belonging to any of the suspects. All three individuals were taken into custody and arrangements were made to tow the vehicle.

NOTE: Three restaurant parking lots on the 3900 block of Freedom Circle and 4100 block of Great America Parkway experienced vandalism and thefts from vehicles this evening. In each of the ten cases, the window was smashed (Case Numbers 15-
6562, 15-6563, 15-6564, 15-6565, 15-6567, 15-6568, 15-6569, 15-6570, 15-6571,15-6572) . In all but one case, property was stolen. According to witnesses, two of the suspects were black male adults in their mid-twenties driving a black fourdoor Mercedes Benz.

Warrant Arrest – Felony
Location: Central Park, 909 Kiely Boulevard
An officer observed a known male subject near the restrooms of the Arbor picnic area in Central Park, located at 909 Kiely Boulevard. The officer had recently seen the subject’s name on an SCPD list of
current warrants and initiated contact. A Records check confirmed the subject had three felony and two misdemeanor warrants totaling $33,000 out of the Santa Clara Police Department. He was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County jail.

Theft
Location: 1600 Block of Coleman Avenue
A male suspect entered a store on the 1600 block of Coleman Avenue, concealed clothing items in his personal shopping bag and walked past open cash registers without attempting to pay for the items. He was arrested for theft and transported to the Temporary Holding Facility. He admitted to the theft as well as a theft from the same store the previous day. He was cited and released.
