At 5:04 am on June 8th 2015 Green Bay Police responded to a semi truck accident on I 43 near Military Ave. At the time of this release the southbound lanes of I 43 near Atkinson Dr are closed due to the semi trailer blocking traffic. The driver of the semi truck suffered minor injuries.
Please avoid the area of I 43 southbound near Military and Atkinson Dr until crews can clean up the accident.

UPDATE at 8:15am. I43 northbound is now open for traffic. I41 southbound to I43 southbound will continue to be closed for approximately 1 hour while crews continue to clear the scene. It is suggested to avoid this area completely if travels in this area is not necessary.

UPDATE at 12:00pm. I43 and I41 have been opened for regular traffic in all directions for previously established construction traffic routes.
