One Injured in SR 67 Crash
Delaware County- This afternoon around 1:42 p.m., Troopers responded to the area of SR 67 and CR 400 South for a two vehicle crash. When they arrived, they found a 2011 Honda Odyssey in the middle of SR 67 and a 2005 Pontiac Vibe in the ditch.
Preliminary investigation indicates the 2011 Honda Odyssey, driven by Jay S. Elliott, age 58 of Muncie, IN, was attempting to merge onto SR 67 from CR 400 South. Mr. Elliott did not see the 2005 Pontiac Vibe, driven by Sarah Lyttle, age 58 of Muncie, IN, that was already southbound on SR 67, and struck the vehicle. This caused the 2005 Pontiac Vibe to overturn and roll approximately four to five times before coming to a complete stop in the ditch of SR 67.
Sarah Lyttle was transported to IU Health's Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN with non life threatening injuries.
The Indiana State Police were assisted at the scene by Muncie Fire Department, Delaware County EMS, Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department, Cowan Volunteer Fire Department, and Delaware County Sheriff's Department.
