Mooreland Woman Arrested for Neglect of Dependent and Possession of Drugs
Henry County – A Moorland woman was arrested yesterday afternoon, around 3 p.m., after members of the Meth Suppression Squad served a search warrant on a home at 8601 N. Buck Creek Pike in Mooreland. The warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation into the use of illegal drugs.
Arrested as a result of that search warrant was Jera M. Springman, age 36. Springman was charged with Three Counts of Neglect of a Dependent, Level 6 Felony and Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Level 6 Felony. She was also charged with one count of Possession of a Schedule 4 Controlled Substance, Class “A” Misdemeanor and Possession of Marijuana, Class “B” Misdemeanor.
Four children also in the home were turned over to family members by Division of Child Services. Springman was lodged in the Henry County Jail. The Meth Suppression Team was assisted in the investigation by the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office, Henry County Division of Child Services and Shirley Police Department K-9 Officer Brian Pryor and his partner Huron.
All Suspects Are Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law
