5/21/15

0612 Hours: Officer Simon investigated an auto burglary at 38505 Cherry St. Victim vehicle suffered a window smash between 5/20/15 1930 hours and 05/21/15 0600 hours.

1037 Hours: Officer Stone investigated an armed robbery that occurred at Isla Restaurant, 5720 Mowry School Rd.

1050 Hours: During a probation search on Birch St, Officers Bloom and Simon arrested a 57-year-old male from Newark for a warrant and a 53-year-old male for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and probation violation.

1546 Hours: Officer Taylor investigated the theft of a vehicle from Oak St. A blue 1991 Honda Accord was taken around 0400 hours.

1517 Hours: During a warrant service at the EZ-8 Motel, Officer Johnson arrested a 32-year-old female from Hayward for a warrant and a 37-year-old male from Hayward for possession of drug paraphernalia.


5/22/15

0715 Hours: Officer Stone investigated an auto burglary that occurred overnight on Bridgepointe Dr. Entry was via a window smash.

1338 Hours: Officer Nobbe investigated an auto burglary that occurred between 1140 and 1155 hours on Robertson Ave. Entry was via a window smash.

1258 Hours: Officer Stone investigated a hit and run collision that occurred at Jarvis Ave. Her investigation led to the arrest of a 19-year-old male from Union City.

1553 Hours: Officer Musantry located an abandoned stolen vehicle on Central Ave.

1646 Hours: Officer Simon investigated the theft of a vehicle from Central Ave. A green 1992 Honda Civic hatchback was taken between 1300 and 1645 hours.

1750 Hours: During a pedestrian stop on Lake Blvd, Officer Simon arrested a 28-year-old male from Newark for warrants.


5/23/15

1200 Hours: During a traffic stop on Cedar Ct, Officer Lopez arrested a 24-year-old male from San Jose for possession of burglary tools.

1228 Hours: Officer Nobbe investigated a hit and run collision that occurred in the area of Lafayette Ave and Bellhaven Ave where two parked cars where struck. A 41-year-old female from Newark was arrested for DUI and hit and run.

1311 Hours: Officer Musantry investigated an attempted Burglary at Anytime Fitness located at 6347 Jarvis Ave.

2000 Hours: During a warrant service at the EZ-8 Motel, Officer Losier arrested a 56-year-old male from Fremont.

2034 Hours: Another warrant service at the EZ-8 Motel by Officer Musantry resulted in the arrest of a 60-year-old male from Milpitas.


5/24/15

1901 Hours: Officer Mavrakis handled a non-injury traffic collision involving two vehicles that occurred on Mayhews Landing Road.


5/25/15

0129 Hours: During traffic stop on Stevenson Blvd, Officers Homayoun and Khairy arrested a 20-year-old male from San Jose for DUI, possession of a controlled substance, and driving without a license.

1900 Hours: During a theft investigation at JC Penney, Officer Kovach arrested a 33-year-old female from San Jose for petty theft, possession of a controlled substance for sales, and possession of drug paraphernalia.


5/26/15

0808 Hours: Officer Bloom responded to Juniper Avenue for a report of domestic battery. A 29-year-old male from Newark was arrested for Felony domestic battery.

1842 Hours: Officer Smith investigated a window smash burglary of a vehicle in the parking lot of 39888 Balentine Dr.


5/27/15

0604 Hours: Officer Stone investigated a theft of a vehicle from Cleremont St. A blue 1994 Honda Civic was taken between 2100 hours and 0600 hours.

1143 Hours: During a traffic stop on Edgewater Dr, Officer Simon arrested two 18-year-old males from Redwood City for possession of burglary tools and a 20-year-old male also of Redwood City for driving on a suspended license.

1640 Hours: Sgt. Higbee arrested a 37-year-old male from San Lorenzo at NPD for a warrant.

1659 Hours: While investigating a disturbance at 35232 Newark BL, Sgt. Hoppe arrested a 37-year-old male of Newark for public intoxication and probation violation.


5/28/15

0848 Hours: Officers responded to the Residence Inn, 35466 Dumbarton Ct. to stand by while management conducted an eviction of two rooms. Officer Stone arrested a 43-year-old female from Hayward for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, possession of a fictitious check and a warrant; a 27-year-old female from Hayward was arrested for possession of stolen property and possession of stolen access card information; and a 25-year-old male from Hayward was arrested for possession of a fictitious check, possession of stolen access card information, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

1423 Hours: Officer Fredstrom investigated a theft of a vehicle from Pick-n-Pull, 7400 Mowry Ave. that occurred on 05/25/15 between 0900 and 1630 hours. Stolen was a blue 1998 Chevrolet Suburban.


5/29/15

0109 Hours: During a traffic stop at Civic Terrace/Saint Matthew Dr, Officer Musantry arrested a 41-year-old female from Dublin for possession of drug paraphernalia.

0414 Hours: Officers investigated an armed robbery at 7-11, 7288 Thornton Ave. The suspect entered the store, vaulted the counter and demanded money from the clerk.

1955 Hours: During a check of a suspicious vehicle parked to the rear of the Food Maxx store, Officer Horst arrested a 41-year-old male from Newark for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

2012 Hours: Officer Homayoun investigated a residential burglary on Joaquin Murieta Ave that occurred within the last 24 hours. Entry was gained via a broken window.


5/30/15

No significant events


5/31/15

0609 Hours: The business located at 34916 Newark Blvd was burglarized between 1500 and 0300 hours. Entry was made via window smash.

0906 Hours: Officer Lopez investigated a theft from a vehicle that occurred between 0220 and 0900 hours at the Residence Inn located at 35466 Dumbarton Ct.

1519 Hours: During a domestic violence investigation on Goldenrod Dr, Officer Lopez arrested a 40-year-old male from Newark for Felony domestic battery.

2140 Hours: After responding to a call of an intoxicated subject harassing customers at Taqueria Los Gallos on Cedar Blvd, Officer Khairy arrested a 38-year-old male from Newark for public intoxication.


6/1/15

1530 Hours: Officers responded to an auto Vs. pedestrian collision that occurred in the crosswalk in front of the Tortilla Factory located at 7015 Thornton Ave. A juvenile victim (14-years-old) was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

1739 Hours: Officer Nobbe investigated a strong arm robbery of a child’s scooter from a 12-year-old child in the area of Ash St and Wells Ave. The child was pushed to the ground and his scooter was taken. A 42-year-old male from Newark was arrested for the crime.

1907 Hours: Officer Kovach investigated a reported disturbance at 5333 Thornton Ave. A 46-year-old male and a 38-year-old male both from Hayward were arrested for public intoxication.


6/2/15

1739 Hours: During a theft investigation on Jarvis Ave, Officer Geser arrested a 29-year-old male from Newark for warrants.

2202 Hours: Sgt. Kimbrough investigated a vehicle burglary that occurred at the BJ’s Restaurant parking lot.
