GLOCK Launches Annual Safety Pledge Drive - June 2015.

GLOCK, Inc. set out on an endeavor to increase the awareness of firearms safety and responsible firearms ownership nationwide. In partnership with the NSSF (National Shooting Sports Foundation) and Project ChildSafe, GLOCK is continuing its safety promotion by instituting a National Safety Month for the month of June with a pledge drive to promote responsible gun ownership and safety. Primarily aimed to the general public, GLOCK is encouraging all to visit the pledge page at us.GLOCK.com/safetypledge and make their commitment through June 30th.

Safety and public education has always been at the core of the Marietta Police Department, especially in regards to our relationship with the community. Our continued efforts to promote gun safety continues as we partner with GLOCK to help promote responsible firearms safety practices and ownership.

GLOCK will present the GLOCK Safety Ambassador of the Year Award to the individual or organization that demonstrates the promotion of firearms safety by driving pledges throughout their community to the GLOCK pledge page. The 2014 award went to the Marietta Police Department for our dedicated efforts to drive the pledges through a series of firearm safety seminars.
