Police Training at Newark Memorial High School this Weekend.
Newark Police Personnel along with representatives from Shot Spotter will be conducting training on Saturday and Sunday (June 6 & 7, 2015) this weekend at the Newark Memorial High School. This valuable training will help officers in the detection of gunshots, location alerting and analysis. Please be aware there will be sounds of simulated gunfire coming from the school. This is part of the active shooter training our officers receive on an ongoing basis. There is no danger to the public and the training will be taking place only during the daytime. This training is part of continuing efforts to keep all our citizens and officers safe through realistic and practical training.
