The Newark Police Department is proud to announce the R.A.V.E.N. /Police Volunteers for being selected as the Volunteer Group of the Year during the annual City of Newark's Volunteer Recognition and Awards Dinner which was held recently.

Members of this group were recognized for being ready to respond and serve the community without delay or hesitation. This group is willing to assist the Police Department by providing resources to the community. R.A.V.E.N. volunteers work in a variety of assignments within the Police Department. Assignments include Patrol, Traffic, Community Engagement, Graffiti Abatement and Administration. The Police Department would also like to congratulate Bernie Nillo who was selected as the City of Newark’s Volunteer of the Year (Viola Blythe Award). Mr. Nillo is a member of the R.A.V.E.N. team, Chamber of Commerce Chairman and Planning Commission member.
