Lowell Regional Dispatcher Promoted to Dispatch Supervisor

Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter recently announced the promotion of Dispatcher Ken Hite to Dispatch Supervisor to serve at the Lowell Regional Dispatch Center.

Hite’s primary responsibilities will be to supervise Regional Dispatch Center personnel on assigned shifts which include evaluating performance, training and scheduling subordinate personnel. Hite will also ensure Shift Dispatchers maintain constant contact with Troopers in the field and keep the Post Commander aware of all activity. Hite will also assist the Regional Dispatch Center Manager in daily operations and manage 911 and other emergency calls processed by Dispatchers.

The Lowell Regional Dispatch Center currently serves the Lowell and Lafayette Districts which consist of Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Newton, Jasper, Pulaski, Starke, White, Benton, Warren, Fountain, Carroll, Clinton, Tippecanoe and Montgomery Counties.

Originally from Lake Station, Indiana Hite graduated from Edison High School. He attended Purdue Calumet College in Hammond and was hired by the Indiana State Police as a dispatcher in 2014. Hite has also previously served as a dispatcher with the Lake Station Police Department for eleven years.

Hite resides in Lake County with his significant other and son.
