State Route 585, between Honeytown Road and Geyers Chapel Road, will close Monday, June 1 as part of an improvement project.
The project will realign approximately one mile of SR 585, and improve the intersections of Thompson Road and Geyers Chapel Road.
Currently, Geyers Chapel Road is closed just north of State Route 585. Crews continue to excavate and improve the alignment of the SR 585 intersection with Geyers Chapel Road.
The detour route for southbound motorists is SR 585 to State Route 57, south on SR 57 to US Route 30, west on US 30 to State Route 3/State Route 83, north on SR 3/SR 83 to SR 585, and reverse for northbound motorists.
ODOT’s contractor for this $3.5 million project is Mark Schaffer Excavation & Trucking of Norwalk, Ohio. The project carries a September 30, 2015 completion date.
