On Thursday, May 28, 2015, at approximately 8:45 p.m., homicide investigators arrested Andrew Clark, a male White 35 years-old, for the May 20, 2015 murder of victim Eric Young, male Black 53 years-old.

Fire department personnel responded to a structure fire at 9080 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood where they found the body of the victim inside the location.  

Clark was booked for murder and arson at the West Hollywood Station, where he is being held on 1,250,000 bail.

The facts of the case will be presented to the District Attorney at Airport Court for consideration of filing formal charges on June 1, 2015.

UNIT:   LASD Homicide – Lieutenant Jauch

 Los Angeles County sheriff’s homicide detectives are en route to the 9000 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a man.  The victim's body was discovered by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel after they extinguished a fire inside a vacant building.

He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Arson/Explosives detectives are assisting with the investigation.
