At this time there is no public beach closure in effect for Torrance Beach. There have been no reports of the ball tar-like substance along the beach or coast line in Torrance. However, swimmers are strongly advised to stay out of the water and avoid coming in contact with source. Contact with the oil may cause skin irritation and long term health effects.
