Our department had received some incorrect information yesterday on the overpass road closure. We apologize for the error. It is the Alger Road overpass that will be closed and NOT the M46 overpass.

Here is the correct information from the MDOT press release.

PROJECT DETAILS:
Bridge improvements over US-127 include surface sealing, deck patching, joint replacement, drainage work, substructure repair, and painting.

TRAFFIC IMPACT:
US-127 BR will be closed over US-127 and traffic detoured using Cheesman, Begole and Jefferson roads. Single-lane closures will be in effect on US-127.

All lanes will be open on northbound US-127 from noon Friday to 3 p.m. Saturday, and on southbound US-127 from 3 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Monday.

All lanes will be open on US-127 during the Independence Day and Labor Day holiday periods.
