On 05/25/2015 just after 3:30 pm, The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of SR 120 near CR 925 E regarding a reported motorcycle accident. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found that 70 year old George Conners of Elkhart, Indiana was operating a 2014 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on SR 120 when he appeared to have drifted off of the north side of the roadway while negotiating a curve. Conners made contact with some loose dirt along the roadside which caused him to lose control of the motorcycle which then toppled over in some tall grass. Conners was not wearing a helmet and suffered abrasions, lacerations, and possible internal injuries. He was flown to a Fort Wayne Hospital by the Samaritan Helicopter. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Indiana State Police, Fremont Police, Clear Lake Police, Fremont Fire, and Steuben County EMS.
