The Huntley Police Department seeks interested youth for the Explorer Program

The Huntley Police Department is looking for youth that would be interested in joining our Police Explorer Post, to find out more about law enforcement careers. Participants can expect invaluable classroom instruction and hands-on training in the field of law enforcement.

The Police Explorer program covers a wide range of law enforcement topics. Some of the topics include: bomb scene response, burglary response, crime prevention, crime scene investigation, domestic violence investigation, first aid, criminal, constitutional, and traffic law.

Participating in the Police Explorer program is a great way to discover if a law enforcement career is of interest and helps to build confidence, discipline, and social skills while having a great time. Teamwork and service to the community is also emphasized as part of the program.

Qualifications:
- 14-20 years old (9th grade and above)
- Interest in law enforcement
- Be in good academic standing
- Must pass a criminal background check
