May 18-20, 2015


5/18/15

1026 Hours: Officers responded to a residence on Newark Blvd on a report of a loud verbal argument between a male and female. A 20-year-old male from Union City was arrested for obstructing and delaying Police Officers.

1058 Hours: Officer Nobbe accepted a citizen’s arrest of a shoplifter from Burlington Coat Factory. A 44-year-old female (transient) was arrested for petty theft and theft with priors.

1338 Hours: Officer Rodgers contacted a male and female at the Check Center located at 5710 Thornton Ave. The 25-year-old female and 34-year-old male both from San Jose were arrested for Felony warrants.


5/19/15

0618 Hours: Officer Rodgers investigated a vehicle theft from Montcalm Ave that occurred overnight. Stolen was a Black 2000 Chevrolet Camaro.

1151 Hours: Officer Taylor accepted a citizen’s arrest of a shoplifter from Macy’s. A 42-year-old male from New York was arrested for shoplifting.

1926 Hours: Multiple Officers assisted with traffic control while ACFD extinguished a structure fire at 8040 Wells Ave. (Fremont Fence).

2041 Hours: Officer Kovach investigated three separate auto-burglaries that occurred on Sycamore St, the BJ’s Restaurant parking lot and another on Rockrose Dr.

2146 Hours: Officer Smith handled a Citizen’s arrest case at the JC Penney Store. A 38-year-old female from Hayward was arrested for burglary.


5/20/15

0622 Hours: Officer Simon investigated an auto burglary at the Silliman center. Entry was via a window smash that occurred at 0615 by an unknown male subject in dark clothing throwing a river rock through the window. Suspect fled in a white Kia Sportage.

0816 Hours: Officer Bloom was checking the homeless encampment at Ardenwood Blvd. and Hwy 84. A 38-year-old male (transient) was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and warrants.

1123 Hours: Officer Stone conducted a bicycle stop on Cherry St. at Mowry Ave. A 66-year-old male from Newark was arrested for public intoxication.

1521 Hours: Officer Fredstrom investigated a hit and run the collision. A 30-year-old male from Fremont was arrested for hit and run, driving on a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance, and a warrant.

1721 Hours: Officer Simon responded to Rochelle Ave. for a warrant service. A 50-year-old female from Newark was arrested.

2116 Hours: Officer Smith accepted a citizen’s arrest of two shoplifters from JC Penney. A 22-year-old female from Union City and a 21-year-old female from Livermore were both arrested for shoplifting.
