NARRATIVE:
On 5/20/15 at approximately 12:30 am, Officer Dean Schoch was traveling southbound on State Highway 35 at Allaire Avenue when he observed a vehicle driving along the shoulder of the highway. Officer Schoch, with the assistance of Officer Martone stopped the vehicle for the observed violation. The driver of that vehicle later identified as Cathleen M. Shaw initially provided a false name. The front seat passenger later identified as Darnell Oneal, provided Officer Martone with a false name as well. An investigation by Schoch and Martone uncovered both parties’ real names and learned that both occupants had active arrest warrants. Both parties were placed under arrest.

A further investigation revealed that both subjects were in possession of crack cocaine, under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Darnell Oneal was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also had an outstanding warrant from Asbury Park for $49.00 and non support warrant from Monmouth County Superior Court in the amount of $5,919.54. Bail was set on the Ocean Township charges at $2,500.00 with a 10% option. He was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution to await a future court hearing.

Cathleen M. Shaw was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and hindering her own apprehension by providing a false name as well as several motor vehicle summonses. There were also three active contempt of court warrants for her arrest. One warrant was from Linden for $800.00, a second $500.00 warrant was from Rahway and a third $500.00 warrant was from Piscataway. Her bail was set at $2,500.00 with a 10% option on her Ocean Township charges. She was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution to await a future court hearing.
