On May 18th, 2015 Morgan Hill Police were called to investigate a male urinating in the center median on the north end of town. As the witness was talking with police dispatch the suspect got into a work van and drove away. The witness followed the vehicle to San Pedro Ave. Once on San Pedro Ave. Morgan Hill Officers attempted an enforcement stop but the driver failed to yield. The suspect who was later identified as 37 year old Yrineo Pantoja out of San Jose veered his vehicle across the center lane divider and hit a patrol vehicle. Pantoja’s vehicle finally came to a stop on Church St. at that point Morgan Hill Officers ordered Pantoja out of the vehicle by gun point. Pantoja’s passenger 39 year old Walfre Diaz out of Gilroy was arrested for public intoxication. The suspects were taken into custody and later booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
