Driving Under the Influence
Location: Market Street and Winchester Boulevard
Officers were dispatched to a roll-over traffic collision in the area of Market Street and Winchester Boulevard. Prior to officer arrival, Dispatchers advised the officers that a subject was fleeing the scene on foot. The female subject was located by an officer at Saratoga Avenue and Fallon Drive.

The female driver collided with a parked vehicle and her vehicle ended up on its side. The driver displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication and refused to perform any of the indicated standardized field sobriety tests. A Records check revealed the subject had a suspended driver's license for a prior DUI conviction. She was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County jail.

Weapons Arrest
Location: 2100 Block of Tasman Drive
A reporting party contacted Dispatch regarding a possible auto burglary on the 2100 block of Tasman Drive. An officer arrived on the scene just as the suspect was attempting to drive away. Upon contact with the female passenger, the officer identified the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and observed objective symptoms of being under the influence of a stimulant.

Meanwhile, the male driver drove toward the patrol vehicle and stopped on command. He then reached his left hand out of the officer’s view, in between the driver's seat and driver's door. The officer drew their duty weapon for fear the male subject was attempting to access a weapon, or get away. Additional officers arrived and assisted to carefully remove the subject from the driver’s seat. A search of the vehicle yielded a large fixed blade knife hidden between the driver’s seat and driver’s door, a switchblade knife in the center dashboard area, approximately two pounds of marijuana, over 100 small baggies, a butane torch lighter, a scale and cash. The male subject was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County jail.
The suspect’s female passenger was in possession of drug paraphernalia. She was cited for the violation and released at the scene.

Petty Theft
Location: 2000 Block of El Camino Real
An officer was dispatched to Target on the 2000 block of El Camino Real. Target’s Loss Prevention Officer witnessed a male subject conceal multiple items inside the store and run out a fire exit onto Scott Boulevard. The subject remains at large.

The officer and Loss Prevention Officer reviewed surveillance footage and noticed the subject left his bicycle and a backpack near the outside entrance. The backpack contained personal items, including a wallet with a California driver’s license. The photo on the driver’s license matched the subject in the surveillance video. A Records check revealed the subject has an extensive violent criminal history and is on parole.

Details of this incident have been forwarded to the Investigations Bureau for follow-up.

Warrant Arrest
Location: 2100 Block of The Alameda
An officer observed a vehicle without a front license plate driving northbound on The Alameda. The officer initiated a vehicle enforcement stop and the male driver pulled into a motel on the 2100 block of The Alameda. There were three occupants in the vehicle, a male driver and one female and one male passenger. A Records check was performed on all three occupants.

The male passenger was on probation for firearm and drug charges. The officer conducted a probation search which yielded drug paraphernalia on his person and $950 in counterfeit currency in the vehicle.The occupants of the vehicle stated the counterfeit money belonged to a female residing at the motel.The female was contacted and displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence of a
controlled substance. A Records check revealed she had three outstanding warrants for her arrest. She was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County jail.

The driver was issued a citation and was released from the scene. The female and male passengers were released from the scene without charge.

Residential Burglary
Location: 3700 Block of Benton Street
At 1909 hours, an unknown female knocked on the front door of a residence on the 3700 block of Benton Street. At 1914 hours, two female subjects gained entry to the residence via an unlocked sliding
glass door. Upon return home at approximately 2213 hours, the victim found the home disheveled however it appeared only a cell phone was stolen. Exact times of these events were captured via a time stamped video camera. The Detectives Bureau has been provided evidence to conduct an investigation.

NOTE: On May 14, 2015 at approximately 0105 hours, the victim’s 2006 blue Toyota Corolla (CA 5VSF003) was stolen from their driveway of their residence (Case Number 15-5639). After the vehicle was stolen, the victim realized the spare set of car keys and house keys were also taken from the May 13, 2015 burglary.

Prowling and Attempted Burglary Location: 600 Block of Park Court
A homeowner on the 600 block of Park Court called Dispatchers to report an unknown female subject who was using a crowbar to gain access to the homeowner’s detached garage. The homeowner later provided updated information that the suspect standing at one the bedroom windows with a pry tool. Officers responded, took the subject into custody for prowling and attempted burglary before transporting her to the Santa Clara County jail.

Warrant Arrest
Location: 2100 Block of Main Street
An officer observed a vehicle on the 2100 block of Main Street without a front license plate. The officer contacted the female driver regarding the California Vehicle Code violation and learned she had a suspended driver’s license. A Records check revealed the subject had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants totaling $10,000 from Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties. She was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County jail.

Grand Theft
Location: 3100 Block of Mission College Boulevard
Between 2100-2330 hours, an unknown suspect(s) broke into the victim's locked vehicle on the 3100 block of Mission College Boulevard. A backpack and laptop were stolen, valued at $1,920. It is estimated there was another $500 in vehicle damage as a result of the incident. The suspect(s) remain at large.
