5/12/15

0745 Hours: Officer Taylor investigated a theft of a beige colored 1994 Honda Accord from Mulberry St. The theft occurred overnight.

1404 Hours: Officer Schwerin handled a citizen’s arrest/shoplifting at NewPark Mall Macy’s store. A 54-year-old female from Hayward was arrested for burglary.

1446 Hours: Officer Bloom arrested a 59-year-old male from Newark for an outstanding warrant in the Rosemont Square Shopping Center.

1646 Hours: During an unrelated contact on Deborah St. Officer Rodgers arrested a 21-year-old female from Newark for a warrant.

1943 Hours: Detective Eriksen arrested a 43-year-old male from Newark at the Library for being drunk in public.


5/13/15

0652 Hours: CSO Verandes investigated an auto burglary on Cedar Blvd. The theft occurred overnight and entry was made via a window smash.

0823 Hours: Officers responded to a disturbance on Cherry St. The investigation revealed that a 53-year-old female from Newark had deliberately struck the victim with her vehicle. Officer Simon arrested the suspect for assault with a deadly weapon.

0855 Hours: Officer Todd investigated a theft of tools from a truck that had been parked at the Chase Suites Motel on Cedar Blvd. The theft occurred overnight.

0918 Hours: CSO Verandes investigated a theft on Fircrest St. A storage locker was burglarized during the daytime hours.

1526 Hours: Officer Rodgers investigated the theft that occurred on Birch St. The incident occurred overnight.

1656 Hours: Officer Saunders investigated a theft on Sycamore St. An unknown suspect broke into a garage unit. The incident occurred overnight.



5/14/15

0307 Hours: Officers investigated a commercial burglary (window smash) on Newark Blvd. While clearing the business we received a second verified commercial burglary (window smash) on Jarvis Ave. Officers Sandoval and Rodgers documented both cases.

0831 Hours: Officer Stone investigated an auto burglary on Smith Ave. Entry was made via a window. The burglary occurred overnight.

0943 Hours: Officer Fredstrom conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 43-year-old male from Newark for Vehicle Code violations.

1951 Hours: Officer Jackman handled a Citizen’s arrest/shoplifting case at the NewPark Mall JC Penney store. A 62-year-old female from Fremont was arrested for shoplifting.


5/15/15

0008 Hours: Officers responded to Safeway for a report of an unwanted guest. Officer Rodgers arrested a 59-year-old transient male for a restraining order violation.

1134 Hours: Officer Simon conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 43-year-old male from Newark for Vehicle Code violations.

1152 Hours: Officer Johnson was flagged down by NewPark Mall Security regarding a subject creating a disturbance. Officer Johnson arrested a 45-year-old female from Castro Valley for a warrant.


5/16/15

1500 Hours: Officer Fredstrom arrested a 51-year-old male from Hayward at NewPark Mall for possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

1447 Hours: Officer Nobbe arrested a 29-year-old male from Newark for being a felon in possession of a stun gun.

1925 Hours: During a warrant service at a residence on Albyn Court, Sergeant Kovach arrested a 36-year-old male from Newark for a Felony parole violation warrant.


5/17/15

0248 Hours: After responding to a disturbance call at the E-Z-8 Motel, Officer Losier arrested a 27-year-old female from San Francisco for a warrant. Two additional occupied rooms were also evicted by Motel staff while Officers were at the scene.

0400 Hours: Officer Khairy arrested a 23-year-old female from Fremont for driving under the influence of alcohol along with an additional Vehicle Code violation.

0420 Hours: During a traffic stop at Ardenwood/84, Officer Losier arrested a 29-year-old female from Fremont for false identification to a Peace Officer and an additional Vehicle Code violation.

1400 Hours: During a traffic stop, Officer Lopez arrested 33-year-old female from Hayward for a warrant.
