The Lockport Police Department along with Lockport Love and the Open Your Heart Foundation are very pleased to announce the results of our recent fundraiser.  The candlelight bowling event held on May 2, 2015 at Strike and Spare was very successful.  The entire bowling alley was reserved which ended up totaling approximately 250 people.  These 250 people came out to support Nick Lindblad who is a student in D91.  Nick has lived with several health complications for his whole life and is now in need of a new heart.  Even though, he has obstacles to overcome which could sour many people towards the world, he remains one of the sweetest nicest kids out there.  The event raised over $5,600 dollars which was given to his parents today.  Nick is about to be put on the heart recipient list and will wait at the hospital for the day he gets the procedure.  Thank you to all the donors and sponsors for this event we are very happy to see how a community can come together to help their own.  Thank you to all who helped make this event successful and fun.  For more information on Nick go to Open Your Heart Foundation on facebook.
