On May 17, 2015 at approximately 12:04 AM, officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of E 27th on a motorcycle crash. Officers found that Christopher Cory Hernandez, WM, 30 of Amarillo was east bound on 27th,. He was approaching 27th and S. Osage. He lost control of his 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle, and the motorcycle went down in the roadway. Hernandez was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Speed and alcohol are factors in this wreck. Hernandez was not wearing a helmet. The Incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Dept.
As of 5-18 at 9:15 AM, the driver remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries
